As I flew to the Big Island i saw the huge reddish silt and soil trails flowing into the ocean in at least 3 locations from Kahoolawe Island. This soil erosion into the ocean is causing a signifcant destruction of the marine habitat of the island. In addition, the erosion of the topsoil has very deleterous effects upon the islands survival. Please start finding out why the red tide flows into the ocean and who is responsible and stop the erosion.
